Procreate Custom Color Palette Not Saving or Syncing Across Devices
If you're encountering an issue where your custom color palettes are not saving or syncing across devices, it could be due to several factors.
First, ensure that your Procreate app is properly connected to your iCloud account, as this is what allows the syncing feature to work across devices.
If iCloud is not set up correctly, your color palettes won't sync to other devices.
Go to your iPad settings, tap on your Apple ID, and make sure iCloud is enabled for Procreate.
If iCloud is correctly set up and syncing still isn't working, try turning off iCloud syncing for Procreate and then turning it back on.
This can reset the sync process and allow your custom palettes to sync across devices.
Another possible cause of this issue is that you may have too many custom palettes saved.
Procreate can handle a large number of color palettes, but if you’ve accumulated an excessive number, it can start to slow down or fail to sync new ones properly.
Try organizing your palettes and deleting any that you no longer need.
You can also try exporting your custom palettes as .swatches
files and re-importing them on other devices.
This can sometimes resolve syncing issues.
If your color palette isn't saving at all, ensure that you're following the correct process for saving palettes in Procreate.
When you create a new palette, tap on the Palette button in the color menu, then select “Add” to create a new palette.
Make sure you save the palette before exiting the app.
If your palettes are still not saving, check for any app updates.
An outdated version of Procreate may have bugs that prevent palettes from saving or syncing.
Lastly, try restarting your iPad to clear out any temporary glitches or memory issues that might be affecting the app’s ability to save or sync your color palettes.
If none of these solutions work, consider reaching out to Procreate's customer support for further assistance.
